Electrix Tweaker
Traktor Remix Decks Mapping
July 9, 2013

Created and tested with Traktor 2.6.2

- To install place the included .tsi file in ~/User/Documents/Native Instruments/Traktor/Settings/
- Launch Traktor and go to Preferences > Controller Manager
- To add this mapping, use the Add button located under the Device menu and navigate to the .tsi file
- To replace all other mappings with this one, use the Import button located at the bottom of the window
- If you Add, avoid conflicts with other Tweaker mappings by setting the in- and out- ports of the other mappings to None.

This mapping works with Remix Decks C and D. In Preferences > Decks Layout, makes sure that:
- Deck Flavor for decks C and D is set to Remix Decks
- "Show C & D" is checked
- and Tempo Fader for C and D are checked.

A few things to know about the mapping:

Channel Strips
By default, the channel strips control deck elements like looping, page selection, and capture. Turning on the Mixer button in the navigation section changes the channel strips to control Traktor's mixer channels.

Pads
By default, the pads mute and unmute the sample slots. The Trigger Type / Play Mode button in the navigation section changes the pads to control either the Trigger Type or the Play Mode of the currently playing cells. When set to Trigger Type, only the top nag button lights up. when set to Play Mode, the top, left, and right nav buttons will light up. While in this mode load a sample to a cell by pressing the desired cell while holding down the left (Cell Load) nav button, or delete a sample from a cell by pressing the desired cell while holding down the right (Cell Delete) nav button

Reverse
You can set any cell to reverse playback by holding down the Reverse button on either deck, while pressing the desired cell(s). If you release the cell before the reverse button, playback will return to normal play. If you release the reverse button first, the sample(s) will continue to play in reverse after releasing the cell. To return to normal play, press and hold the reverse button once again while pressing and releasing the desired cell(s).

Monitor
The 2 Filter knobs also control the Monitor Mix and Monitor Volume, when Monitor Cue is activated on either deck (C or D). While in Monitor mode, the 2 knobs can still control the filter while holding Shift.

Soft Takeover
Most of the absolute controls (sliders and knobs) are set to soft takeover. this way there is no abrupt change in value when controlling 2 different functions with the same slider. For example, the up-faders control both volume and pitch, so when switching control modes, the fader on the Tweaker and the one on Traktor's screen will be at different positions. You must first move the control to the position of Traktor's control on screen before you can take control of it with the slider.
